The Power of Your Altar
An altar of earth you shall make for Me and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I cause My name to be remembered I will come to you and bless you, if you make Me an altar of stone you shall not build it on hewn stones, for if you wield your tool on it you profane it. And you shall not go up by steps to the altar, that your nakedness be exposed on it. Exodus 20:24–26
An altar is a supernatural system of authorization for the spirit realm to have entrance and encounter with the physical realm. One’s personal Godly altar is the central element of their spiritual life. The deeper your roots, the taller your life grows spiritually. The stronger you get, and the more you will flourish like a palm tree in the things of God and the more you will be a voice of hope in the world. Who you are spiritually today is a direct reflection of the altar you have raised. The power of a personal Godly altar is what makes a man or woman of God supersede another. It can all be traced back to his or her altar. An altar always represents a place of consecration. Before God gave His law to Moses, men made altars wherever they were out of whatever material they possessed.
An altar was often built to commemorate an encounter with God that had a profound impact upon someone’s life. Abram, Isaac, Jacob, David, Gideon and Noah all built altars and worshipped after having a unique encounter with God. An altar represents a person desire to consecrate himself fully to the Lord. When we build an altar to the Lord, He will redeem and empower you to carry out your kingdom assignment for Him. One of the most important things that every believer must do is to build an altar of righteousness to the Lord in your home so that the Holy Spirit can enter through this gate to change the face of the earth. You can obtain an open heaven by using praise and worship to offer righteousness. Altars open unseen doors in the realm of the spirit. These are portals for angelic visits and open up the gates of heaven. An altar is an instrument of legislation. The corporate altar of the church is the strongest legislation on the earth. Jesus Christ raised the church to be the supreme legislation on the earth.
All altars speak. They can stationary or mobile. They are power stations, places of exchange, and landing strips for God’s holy angels. In the Book of Acts chapter ten, we see the story of Cornelius, the centurion who built an altar for devotion to God. He consistently gave alms to the poor and prayed at his altar daily. His altar began to speak in his favor in the courts of heaven. Suddenly, an angel showed up at his house! The angel told him that his alms and praying had become a memorial to the Lord. I have had an angel show up in my life and it literally catapulted my life and spiritual life to new levels. God’s favor and anointing became so powerful in my life. I received a promotion on my job, my finances changed, my career changed, and my purpose and destiny began to manifest.
Are you ready to raise an altar to the Lord in your home? It’s one of the most exciting and important things that every believer must do! God will reveal to you the things that are holding you back and expose all of your enemies. Praise God! In Genesis 8:20–21, we see Noah built an altar to the Lord, and he gave God an offering of every clean animal and of every clean fowl or bird. Then God made a vow to never curse the ground because of man or to destroy the earth by flood. Altars are places of agreement or covenants. They are places of meeting where humanity meets with divinity to enter into legal and covenant agreements. When Abraham demonstrated his obedience to the Lord by preparing to sacrifice his son Isaac, God entered into a living covenant with him. So we see covenants are impossible to sustain without an altar. Altars are places of worship. Worship is the number one thing we do at an altar.
If you want to be delivered from an evil altar you must strengthen the altar to the Lord in your life. The Lord has delivered me from evil altars that were working against me from my ancestors. I have destroyed them by going to the court in heaven. I want to introduce you to a book that literally catapulted my life to new levels as it taught me the spiritual process of going to the court of heaven to destroy evil altars. In First Samuel 5:4–7, we see that the Philistines brought the Ark of God into the house of Dagon. God wasted no time in demonstrating that He was more superior to the altar of the idol Dagon. When the Philistines found Dagon lying on the ground, they didn’t understand what was happening. So they picked it up ad propped it next to the altar of the Lord. Upon returning the next day, Dagon was lying on the ground broken. This message became very clear. God’s superior altar rules! Please get this revelation knowledge! If you want the Lord to deliver you and your family, you must raise a righteous altar to the Lord.
We as believers must understand that our fore fathers built altars to idols which permitted them to reside in your bloodline. These decisions that were made in your family became legally binding in the spirit realm. So this opened the door for the family lineage to idols and evil altars that are still operating in your life because they have been planted in your generational bloodline. You will not be able to move to new levels or complete your destiny and purpose. You will remain stuck if you do not destroy these things that are in your bloodline. In the book of Judges, chapter 6, we learn that God told Gideon to tear down his father’s idol of Baal and its evil altar. Gideon knew that if he didn’t obey God that his destiny would have been lost and the spirit of Baal and its evil altar would have continued to control his entire bloodline.
So sometimes we have to obey God even when we are scared and we don’t understand. You as the priest of your family must erect a righteous altar to the Lord in your home and He will begin to reveal to you what is causing all of your problems. Hallelujah! I would advise you to take an assessment of your family and see what things have kept your family in bondage. Things like cycles of alcohol, sexual perversion, occult involvement and witchcraft, sickness, poverty, and more can all be traced back to idols and evil altars operating in your bloodline. You must take these things to God’s Supreme Court and destroy them. You have to learn how to operate in the court of Heaven. It’s time for you to rise up and erect a righteous altar to the Lord! When the Lord gave me this revelation knowledge I was so ready to go to new levels. I saturated myself in this teaching and immediately consecrated an altar to the Lord. The next day I had a dream of fire. We know that God is a consuming fire. He began to expose all of the enemies in my soul, so that I could get free! I would encourage you to find a nice quiet place in your home, perhaps behind closed doors. Somewhere you can get quiet and just focus on praying, worshiping, and praising the Lord. You can take a chair or a mantle and anoint it with oil and consecrate it to the Lord. Then begin to consistently go there every day.
God will begin to meet you there and you will hear His voice and He will tell you things that you need to know about your purpose and destiny. You will also discover supernatural life-changing breakthroughs! Hallelujah! My life has changed amazingly due to destroying evil altars and erecting a righteous altar to the Lord. Please remember that God is no respecter of persons. He will do something amazing for you too!
