Destroying Witchcraft Attacks Against your Life
In my book, Abused But Not Forsaken, I reveal that my father frequently sought help from a witch through ignorance on his part. Once he began seeking the assistance of this person, our lives took a turn for the worse. I wanted to discuss this topic because it is being used in our society, churches, jobs, and even Hollywood. There are many Christians today that are suffering because someone in their bloodline or an ancestor opened the door to the occult or were victims of witchcraft, and they may be experiencing cycles of poverty, sickness, lack of progress, and barrenness. The Apostle Paul spoke about witchcraft in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against rulers against principalities and powers in this present darkness against spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places.” Witchcraft is still a common practice in many cultures across the world today. Witchcraft can be understood as being a demonic power and those that dabble in it will use it to promote destruction or misfortune. It is the practice of trying to hurt and exercise control over others.
Some people are born into families that operate in witchcraft and are initiated as a young child. Some people manifest witchcraft tendencies and will use it to bully, dominate, control and manipulate their victims. Witchcraft is from Satan and anyone who practices it must know that it is an abomination before God. When a person practices witchcraft they open themselves up to demons and demonic influences. In Leviticus 19:26 it says, “Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood. Do not practice fortune telling or witchcraft.” Today we see that witchcraft is a serious issue. It is very easy to fall prey to its subtlety. With all the social media and movies with evil themes we can be trapped into it by ignorance. I read recently read about a pastor who gave his altar call and 200 people came up for prayer to renounce witchcraft practices in their lives.
Today you can go on Amazon and purchase all sorts of books on the subject of witchcraft, and loads of people are purchasing them and learning how to cast spells and dominate people. They are willfully surrendering their souls to the devil and learning how to harm others. The devil has invaded our world and our homes. But, we as Christians must know that no matter how deeply someone might be involved in witchcraft, receiving and confessing Jesus as Lord and Savior in their life is the first step to freedom. During my quest for freedom in my walk with Christ I came across a book that helped me understand witchcraft and pray against it. It is Prayers to Destroy Witchcraft Attacks against Your Life and Family and Release Your Blessings, by Daniel C. Okpara, the president of Better Life Outreach Center, which is a non-denominational evangelism network committed to global prayer revival and evangelism. In his book you will uncover witchcraft, how it operates, how to recognize attacks, and how to deal with the attacks. It is packed full of scriptures and prayers that will help you gain your freedom and will make you more aware of this practice.
I want to warn you that people are using witchcraft in the workplace to inflict all sorts of harm on people that they may be jealous of due to their success. I have a friend who worked for a company and stated that when she worked with some associates she felt very intimidated and afraid and could not perform her job and decided to leave. She later found out through the grapevine that they had found some witchcraft items in the desk of one of her co-workers after she had quit sometime later. Witchcraft is not only African, Asian, or a medieval thing. It is global and it is being carried out in different formats against people to destroy lives!
Now I want to talk about witchcraft in the church. Yes, it is in our churches! And we must use our God-given powerful spiritual tools to defeat it. This is a prophetic alert for the body of Christ, offering enlightenment and hunger to grow in the things of Almighty God and to face our adversary the devil! I came across another resource that will be a great blessing to you. It is, Exposed—Witchcraft in the Church by Patricia King, who has been equipping and inspiring believers to pursue their God given purpose and destiny. She has touched thousands of lives through her prophetic ministry. She is the founder of Patricia King Ministries. In her book she reveals common witchcraft practices and how to make sure you aren’t unknowingly engaging in them, and discloses their landing strips for their activity and how to not be one. She has included real life stories of how witches target churches, leadership, and families within those churches. You will realize your God given authority and power over the works of the enemy. You will discover the spiritual weapons that God has given you through Christ to defeat the enemy and disintegrate all his plans, plots and schemes. It’s an eye-opener!
Let’s discuss another topic of prophetic witchcraft. Jennifer Le Claire shares that “A false prophet is one who sets out to deceive,” in her book, Discerning Prophetic Witchcraft. Jennifer Le Claire received a prophetic word that a showdown was coming to the body of Christ where both true and false prophets would be exposed.
